HempCore is our spring drop featuring stone-washed hemp fabric – used for both the inlay and the padding. The fabric boasts a natural, subtly textured surface with a tactile feel all its own. Not smooth. Not polished – hemp inside and out. Paired with our hand-stitched hardware.
Every piece is unique. Leather is a natural product – no hide is the same. Small scars, color nuances or a textured surface? That's exactly what makes it special. Nature doesn’t copy & paste.
Exposure to air, moisture and touch can cause it to develop a patina over time – that’s not a defect, but completely normal and a sign of genuine quality. If you prefer it shiny, you can easily polish it with a cloth. If you love patina, just let it be.
Each product is made to order. Handmade takes time. But it's worth it. Allow up to 4 weeks, though often it’s faster ;-)
CAjA uses only vegetable-tanned, non-coated Nappa leather. In rare cases – for example with heavy rain combined with a chemical tick collar – slight color changes may occur. If unsure or if you have any questions, feel free to contact us directly.
